Description

IC 7483 = Binary Adder. IC 7486 = EX-OR gate. "A" & "B"series & Cin are in input section. "S" series & Cout are in ouput section. Ao=12, A1=13, A2=14,A3=15, Cin=10. Bo=0, B1=1, B2=2, B3=3. So=0, S1=1, S2=2, S3=3, Cout=10. After connecting, in A & B series input binary code as 1111 & Cin as 0 and 1 each time & the S series will output by glowing red light with binary output as 1110(cin=0) & 0000(Cin=1).

Procedure

  1. Add IC 74LS83 into ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  2. Add IC 74LS86 into ICBase-2 (74LS86).
  3. Connect GND Port to Pin-7 (Ground) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
  4. Connect VCC Port to Pin-20 (VCC) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
  5. Connect VCC Port to Pin-5 (VCC) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  6. Connect GND Port to Pin-16 (Ground) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  7. Connect Input-12 to Pin-14 (Input) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  8. Connect Input-13 to Pin-8 (Input) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  9. Connect Input-14 to Pin-3 (Input) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
  10. Connect Input-15 to Pin-1 (Input) of ICBase-1 (74LS83).
