Description
This circuit successfully calculates the difference between two two bit numbers by using 2's complement method. Now for subtraction using 2's complement method, we must note that, if the final carry bit is generated then our result is same as the result produced by the circuit, but if the carry bit isn't generated then our result is actually 2's complement form of the result produced by the circuit.
Procedure
- Add IC 74LS86 into ICBase-2 (74LS86).
- Connect VCC Port to Pin-20 (VCC) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
- Connect GND Port to Pin-7 (Ground) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
- Connect Pin-1 (Input) of ICBase-2 (74LS86) to Input-3.
- Connect Pin-4 (Input) of ICBase-2 (74LS86) to Pin-3 (Output) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
- Connect Output-0 to Pin-6 (Output) of ICBase-2 (74LS86).
- Add IC 74LS08 into ICBase-3 (74LS08).
- Add IC 74LS32 into ICBase-4 (74LS32).
- Connect VCC Port to Pin-20 (VCC) of ICBase-3 (74LS08).
